If you want to succeed in Heist you will have to become an expert

Accomplices

I mentioned in the last paragraph that accomplices are needed. As you roam the mean streets of San Francisco you will meet some rather interesting people that will have the desire and skills you need to help in your quest. You will find the aptly named cereal brothers Cracker and Crumb. Cracker as his name suggests is the safe cracking expert and his big brother Crumb is the muscle. If anyone gives you any guff then Crumb will go to work with his many tools of the trade, which include a wide variety of pistols and shotguns.

After Crumb gets finished with any opposition there will barely be any crumbs left to pick up. The next character in your gang is the Kid. The Kid serves as your get away driver and we all know that any successful and respectable bank robber needs one of those. Last but not least we have Uncle Sal. Is Uncle Sal really Johnny’s uncle? Well, if I told you that then I would spoil the best part of the game. Uncle Sal is the guy that scopes out perspective jobs and he provides information that is needed to pull off the bank jobs.

Needed Accessories

Will you rob a couple of banks, knock off the Mint and then call it a day at the office? Well, not really, mainly because robbing banks is a very complex endeavor. You need floor plans, tools and skills. How do you get these items you may be wondering? You acquire all of these by performing different criminal activities.

If you need some quick cash then you go and knock off a diner. Need some bank-robbing tools you say? Then hit the local warehouse down the street and get the needed explosives, crow bar or other important tools of the trade. How about those ever-important floor plans to the new high security bank? Those aren’t just handed to you and you can’t buy them. No, you steal them, that’s how you get them.
Along with the necessary tools you gain experience and which is needed to be an over achieving bank robber.

Gameplay

There are a couple of ways to give commands in the game and that is with the old tried and true use of the keyboard or game controller. Another way that I haven’t seen implemented in too many other games is via voice commands. During the game set up period you can record custom commands that you can use to command the other characters to perform an action. This certainly is a novel way to play a game and it works for this title.
