Most Disappointing
Star Wars Battlefront II
As a game, Star Wars Battlefront II is rather enjoyable. The visuals and audio represent the Star Wars universe wonderfully. A decent singleplayer campaign acts as something of a tutorial and the multiplayer game comes complete with a heap of game modes and large open-world maps. The main disappointment from the game stems from the micro-transaction and lootbox issues that plagued the game upon its release, and the fact that to unlock the main characters would have required an approximate 40 hours of grinding to accumulate the in-game credits needed to purchase each one. Star cards, which were collected via loot crates that could be accessed by purchasing in-game crystals (which in turn could be purchased with real cash) allowed improvements for each class and hero character without having to spend time in the game. The pay-to-win scenario was not ideal for a multiplayer game. EA have since rectified the situation, but the damage had already been done.
