One of the purest rally driving experience to ever grace the PC, DiRT 4 caters a bit more to the simulation crowd than it does Sunday drivers. DiRT 4 expects players to take an interest in such technical things as the differences between front, rear and all-wheel drive cars but once you're hitting the proverbial dirt, it's all about driving hard and fast and keeping your car intact long enough to get it across the finish line. Rough terrain and competitors can flip your chances upside down in a hurry but even when your car is tumbling hopelessly through the air after a failed maneuver, it is hard not to admire the incredible visuals that Codemasters have stuffed into the game. Matt closed his review with "It's dirty, but it's glorious." and that sums up the game quite nicely.
