Creative Fatal1ty Headset
We used the headset while playing games like Crysis Warhead and NHL09 (XBox). On our test PC, combined with the Fatal1ty X-fi sound card, the headset provided excellent 3D sounds and bass effects. The 3D sounds provided an unbeatable edge in games like Crysis where you actually hear where the shots or footsteps are coming from and can react to them properly instead of just running around randomly, hoping to find cover.
In online chat in multiplayer games, the microphone provided good sound quality to fellow gamers and the ability to turn the microphone off with the simple dongle on the wire helps in situations where you don't want your gaming friends to hear what kind of words you receive from your wife or girlfriend if the gaming sessions stretch too late into the night. Also, the microphone doesn't pick up static or other background sounds from the environment, like cheap Skype sets tend to do and thus make the conversation between gamers a more natural experience.
Audio Quality
For an affordable headset, Fatal1ty offers great sound quality – but not much better than you would expect from a headset in this price category. Whereas it seems to provide better experience than other similarly priced gaming headsets, those who value hi-fi sounds should really look elsewhere – and expect to pay a lot more for their headphones.
One of the downsides of the headset is that the sounds leak to the environment and may bother other gamers in the vicinity. Perhaps it is a side-effect of the clear and crisp sound quality, but it seems that the sounds really carry farther than from some other gaming headsets and generic headphones that we've had experience with.

Sound Quality: 8/10
Portability: 7/10
Our score: 7.8/10
All in all, the Creative Fatal1ty Gaming headset is a solid product and we can recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable and relatively stylish headset. The best quality of the headset is definitely the light weight and comfort when worn even if you wear glasses. The biggest complaint is perhaps the velvet – it is very comfortable when worn, but tends to pick up dust that proves to be quite hard to remove. Not that big of a complaint, really. Definitely give them a try!
