Mortal Kombat DLC Coming Within The Next Month
Ed Boon, creator of Mortal Kombat, has stated that DLC for the recently released fighting title of the same name will be coming "within the next few weeks".
Boon states that the DLC will add a "balance" patch for fighters and will also add the character Skarlett to the roster as a playable fighter.
In an interview with G4, Boon says,
“We really want to make the patch coincide with the first DLC that’s going to come out."
"So the Skarlett character is going to contain, not only her, but some free stuff and all the patch changes for balancing.” When asked for a timeframe, Boon answered, “Certainly within the next month, but the next few weeks I’d say.”
Skarlett was originally a glitch character in early Mortal Kombat games where Sub-Zero, Reptile, and Scorpion would be turned red. The glitch would also allow certain female fighters to turn red as well. The character first made its official debut in MK3 but was unnamed, the MK community labeled the character "Skarlett". "So the Skarlett character is going to contain, not only her, but some free stuff and all the patch changes for balancing.” When asked for a timeframe, Boon answered, “Certainly within the next month, but the next few weeks I’d say.”
No release date has been announced as of yet.
