The most immediate and striking feature of the Sabre v3 Pro Ultralight is its sheer lack of mass. Weighing in at an incredible 37g for the symmetrical version (which we tested) and 41g for the Ergo variant, it is exceptionally light in the hand. This ultralight nature is a massive boon for players who favour fast, sweeping motions and lightning-fast flicks. Coming in sleek black and white color options, its smooth finish feels fantastic.
To enhance customisation and handling, the mouse comes supplied with custom grip tape that can be attached to the sides, enabling a better purchase on the surface. For those who want to fine-tune their glide, replacement mouse skates are also included. The mouse maintains a standard five-button layout comprising the left and right clicks, a scroll-wheel middle click, and two thumb buttons on the side.
For connectivity, the wireless operation relies strictly on a 2.4GHz USB wireless receiver (via Slipstream wireless technology) paired with a USB Type-A to Type-C cable. There is unfortunately no Bluetooth connectivity on the Sabre v3, which if you have limited USB slots on your gaming device, could be an issue.
Features & Customisation
The defining innovation of the Sabre v3 Pro is PureVector - 'the future of aiming' as it is dubbed, developed exclusively in partnership with Aimlabs. Everyone aims differently, and PureVector analyzes your individual performance metrics through a short, five-minute calibration test (consisting of Spidershot rounds). It calculates your performance metrics and adjusts your directional sensitivity profile directly into the mouse's firmware. Once set up and calibrated, the profile saves directly to the mouse, meaning no background app or software needs to run while you play. No two configurations will ever be the same, as it dynamically adapts to your personal aiming bias. The software doesn't necessarily improve aiming, but it does help with personalizing the directional sensitivity of each person. Having said that, whilst playing through a few missions on Borderlands 4, I did feel that I was moving to targets slightly quicker.
Under the hood, the mouse is powered by a high-performance MARKSMAN X sensor, delivering true 42,000 DPI tracking, up to 800 IPS, and 70G acceleration. Users can configure up to 5 distinct DPI settings, allowing for flexible sensitivity adjustments.
Customization is handled seamlessly through the browser-based CORSAIR Web Hub (not on iCue at this stage), requiring no clunky software installation. Here, you can adjust polling rates, macros, key bindings, and device settings.
Performance & Battery Life
Performance-wise, the Sabre v3 Pro is an absolute powerhouse. Driven by a Nordic 54-series MCU, it supports true wireless 8,000Hz hyper-polling with an average click latency of just 0.25ms. Coupled with near-zero-lag optical switches rated for an astounding 100 million clicks (I doubt I'll be able to test this in my lifetime), every input is registered instantaneously.
The combination of the featherlight chassis, the ultra-precise MARKSMAN X sensor, and the personalized Aimlabs PureVector calibration translates rapid movements into flawless, smooth on-screen tracking.
In terms of endurance, the mouse offers up to 140 hours of battery life when using a standard 1,000Hz polling rate (dropping to around 25 hours at the maximum 8,000Hz hyper-polling setting). This ensures you can comfortably power through extended gaming sessions and tournaments without interruption. Recharging is straightforward via the included cable, which allows you to seamlessly switch to wired mode while refuelling.
