After Hours Gaming League has begun
Sean 'Day9' Plott has today launched the After Hours Gaming League - a tournament in which teams from over 30 big name companies (including Microsoft and Google) compete for $5,000 top prize for a charity of their choice.
The games this season are League of Legends and Starcraft 2, with games taking place over the course of about three months to decide with company are the best at computer gaming, with 6 matches a week for the next 2 weeks and concluding with the finals in 11 weeks time.
The League has already proven popular - within an hour of announcing it on twitter the After Hours Gaming League website crashed.
The companies offering teams are: Adobe, Amazon, AMD, Best Buy, Digital Extremes, Dropbox, EA, Epic, Ernst & Young, Facebook, Factset, Google, IBM, Intel, Legend 3D, LinkedIn, Microsoft, Mozilla, NVIDIA, Palantir, Pipeworks, Qualcomm, RapidShare, Shopify, TwitchTV, Twitter, Western Digital, Zappos and Zynga.
