EA announces cross-game promotion

A cross-game offer has been announced by EA between 38 Studios' Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning and Bioware's Mass Effect 3. By downloading and playing the demo of Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, you will receive bonus items for both games.

These bonuses seem to aim to bring the very different universes together, in both player base and visuals. Players who complete the demo and watch the trailer at the end will receive The Chakram Launcher, a weapon that fires explosive discs, while players who just download the demo will gain The Reckoner Knight Armor, allowing their character extra close-quarters damage and increases projectile velocity, both for Mass Effect 3.

For Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning players get Omniblade Daggers, which appear to belong in the Mass Effect 3 universe, and the N7 Armor - Commander Shepard's clothing.

General Manager and Co-Founder of Bioware Dr. Ray Muzyka said, "We are excited to be collaborating with 38 Studios to bring pieces inspired by the Mass Effect universe into the world of Reckoning and to have items designed by Todd McFarlane in Mass Effect 3.”
