Away From Keyboard - Magic: The Gathering - Modern Horizons 3

The Eldrazi return
The story of unfathomable horrors the Eldrazi wrought is one that winds its way through Magic Story and features a cast of fan-favorite characters who rallied to achieve the unthinkable: defeating these god-like titans of the Multiverse.
Modern Horizons 3 is packed with Eldrazi—new, imaginative versions never seen before, as well as returning favorites in a Commander deck dedicated to them—and is the perfect opportunity to catch up on why these beings are one of the true existential dangers a plane can face.
Set mechanics
As the Modern Horizons 3 set continues the Modern Horizon story, there is a lack of new mechanics. However, the Modern Horizons 3 set does revive several mechanics that haven’t been evident in recent sets, and will no doubt alter some existing strategies.
Energy
Several cards in Modern Horizon 3 will give players energy tokens. These tokens can be used to power up spells and permanents a player controls.

Double-Faced cards
The Modern Horizons 3 release features modal double-faced cards as well as transforming double-faced cards. The front faces of each of the 20 modal double-faced cards are all nonland faces, and the back faces are all land faces.

Umbra Armor
The umbra armor keyword ability, formerly known as "totem armor," appears only on Auras. An Aura with umbra armor helps protect the permanent it's attached to; if that permanent would be destroyed, the Aura is destroyed instead

Bestow
Creatures with bestow can be cast as creatures, just like normal, but they can also be cast as Auras targeting a creature. When the enchanted creature leaves the battlefield, the Aura with bestow will stop being an Aura and go back to being a creature on the battlefield

Devoid
Cards with devoid are colorless regardless of their mana costs.

Modified
Several cards in the Modern Horizons 3 release refer to "modified" creatures. A creature you control is considered modified if it has at least one counter on it, if it's equipped, or if it's enchanted by an Aura you control.

Adapt
The adapt ability imbues creatures with a latent power and toughness boost that can be activated with an infusion of mana.

Annihilator
Annihilator is a triggered ability that makes some Eldrazi creatures even more brutal when they attack, requiring an opponent to sacrifice a permanent (or two).
