Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China Launch Trailer Reveals New Information

It's no secret that Assassin's Creed fans have been hoping for the series to go to China. Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China finally realizes these hopes in a new, 2.5D take on Ubisoft's popular franchise. The game will span across several famous Chinese landmarks, like the Forbidden City and the Maijishan Grottoes.

The story follows a Chinese Assassin named Shao Jun in the 16th century, who's entire Assassin clan is killed by an opposing group. She flees to go train with Ezio Auditore (from Assassin's Creed II) and returns to her native China to seek revenge. Jun has an array of Assassin weapons, such as a secret shoe blade, rope darts, and daggers, among other things.

Chronicles is being developed by Climax Studios and two more Chronicle games are expected to be released, one set in Russia during the October Revolution, and the other in 19th century India. No release date has been confirmed for either.

Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China is available on Steam for 9.99.
