'Brothers In Arms: Furious 4' Still A Thing, Won't Ship In 2012
Gearbox head Randy Pitchford has confirmed that long awaited title Brothers in Arms: Furious 4 is still in the works but won't ship this year.
In a recent interview with CVG Pitchford stated that the game was still in development and addressed rumors that the game had been canned.
“I can’t really talk about Furious Four right now. The game has evolved, I think people are going to be surprised by what they’ll see, and it’s still evolving,” he said.
“One of the reasons why we’re not talking about it now is that it’s evolving and we need to make further changes before we can start talking about it.”
Pitchford also stated that Gearbox is hard at work on numerous other projects as well. “One of the reasons why we’re not talking about it now is that it’s evolving and we need to make further changes before we can start talking about it.”
“I can’t really talk about Furious Four right now. Borderlands 2 ships in September, so we’re spending most of our time talking about that, and Aliens Colonial Marines comes out after that in February,” the executive added.
“I might come around to talk about Furious Four between the releases of Borderlands 2 and Aliens: Colonial Marines, but certainly I won’t before the release of Borderlands 2.”
The last time Furious 4 was shown was at E3 2011 but nothing's been seen of it since.
