Final Fantasy XIV Round Up - Aussie team wins PvP championship
Australia's 'FISH' crowned Crystalline Conflict champions
Aussie team FISH made the region proud by winning the Crystalline Conflict Regional Championship 2026 Europe & Oceania. FISH defeated 'hopeful' 3–2 in the final, held at the Berlin Fan Festival in late July, to be crowned champions. The Aussies took home a trophy, a total cash prize of £18,000.00 GBP, and an in-game achievement and title for their victory.

FINAL FANTASY XIV is now available on Nintendo Switch 2
Final Fantasy XIV launched on Nintendo Switch 2 on August 4, bringing the award-winning MMORPG to handheld for the first time.
New players can jump in via the Free Trial, offering hundreds of hours of gameplay across the base game, FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn, and its first, second, and third expansions: Heavensward, Stormblood, and Shadowbringers.

Moonfire Faire is back
While our friends in the Northern Hemisphere are soaking up the last of summer, Final Fantasy XIV players can imagine they were there with the return of the annual Moonfire Faire!
The seasonal in-game event is now live, with players embarking on the 'Earning Your Water Wings' quest by speaking to the trusty chaperone Mayaru Moyaru at Limsa Lominsa.
Completing the quest unlocks the Inflatable Mograft Mount (perfect for lounging by the pool), alongside several other rewards such as the Lawn Chocobo Raft and Moonfire Faire artwork. The seasonal event runs until 27 August at 12:59 AM AEST.
The final Fan Festival of 2026 heads to Tokyo in late October
Off the heels of two massive Fan Festivals in Anaheim and Berlin, the final Fan Festival of 2026 will take place in Tokyo, Japan on October 31 and November 1.
