A Game About AI, Made by Humans - Omi Oh My AI Launches in January
Western Australian-based EverySecond Studio have announced that the long-awaited 1.0 launch of their upcoming ARG-lite puzzle game Omi Oh My AI is coming to Steam on January 28, 2026. The team is hard at work on the game's third and final act, due to launch out of Early Access in 2026.
Omi Oh My AI is a captchavating adventure with over 300 puzzles curated by the quirky dog-loving AI, Omi! Learn to see the world the way AI does with image, word, and number puzzles in this game inspired by AI, I Love Bees, the 90's, and the constant need to prove you're not a robot.
EverySecond Studio were recipients of funding from Screenwest in 2019 and 2023 for the development of Omi Oh My AI. The team aims to launch a game that will get people thinking about AI and the relationships we have with each other: the good, the bad, and everything in between.
"When we started working on Omi, what we really wanted was to tell a story that turned the "rogue evil AI" trope on its head, to make an AI character that was just likeable and flawed." Shared lead developer Matthew Dyet. "But in the time since we started development on Omi, we've seen generative AI hit the global stage in a way that none of us could ever have expected, and it's impossible to not also say something about that with what we're making. It's made it an incredibly surreal game to develop, but now that we're so close to release, we're really excited to see what people make of the story we're telling. We really hope players fall in love with Omi as much as we have over the last 6 years."
Omi Oh My AI is launching on PC (via Steam) in January.
