Deus Ex: Human Revolution Is Looking Promising
I think it is fair to say that we have all had our doubts about the latest addition to the Deus Ex franchise out this year. A few new tidbits from the latest edition of PC Gamer UK magazine have quoted developer Eidos Montreal saying that it will take 25 hours to complete. There was also some positive feedback from testing.
The game has now been confirmed as playable from start to finish and has been through a good majority of the testing stage.
Producer David Anfossi said of the testers:
So far with them playing about six hours every day, most of them don't complete the game
And he also comments on the quality of the game's mix of strategy with the shooting:
The ones that are more casual gamers, who are used to more 'corridor, cut-scene, corridor, cut-scene' type of gameplay - they play it that way for a while. Then suddenly, there's this new world that opens to them, and they start getting a bit more creative.
This does indeed look promising with a decent playing time that will hopefully be combined with a good deal of depth. Deus Ex: Human Revolution could be the masterpiece we are waiting for!
